Goodbye to a +5 hero

Gary Gygax, the creator of Dungeons and Dragons, passed recently. This a great eulogy for this amazing person. I spent a huge part of my early teenage years playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends. D&D fostered my imagination, connected me with friends I still have today, and kept me out of trouble in my formative years. While my life is a bit too hectic now to spend twelve plus hours around a table determining whether my save against the poison trap was successful, I miss and remember everything D&D was. My fascination with video games was a logical offshoot of D&D.
My little way of remembering Gary this weekend was to buy a mint copy of the Dungeon Master's Guide at the High Tech Flea Market, which opened again this last Saturday. It now has a treasured place next to my original Player's Handbook in my Wall of Fame in the man room...
